Beach Break 91 Video

Yesterday I finally picked up a nice lil’ piece of hardware I’ve been meaning to get ever since I upgraded PC’s: an analog-to-digital video converter. For you dumbasses out there it just means I can take video from VHS tapes and make ‘em web-friendly with little effort (thankfully, Scott Hartman was a big help or maybe the effort would’ve been greater).

Anyhoo, for some stupid reason I decided, for the first of many video posts, to edit down and tweak a video that was shot for my church youth group’s 1991 trip to le Redneck Riviera, Panama City Beach, Florida. I took out all the boring God-n-preacher stuff since I ain’t here to proselytize, but rather to take a fond look back at more innocent times.

For those few of you out there who may have been under the misconception that I was cool back in the day, this should clear that up reaaal quick. Lakeside folk: see how many people you recognize.

Comments are welcome; except from you, Chip. You look like him. Get over it.

(Oh and by the way, the beachy graphics at the beginning and at different points in the video are from the original vid - I didn’t add them. I would hate for anyone to think my video presentation skills were that bad.)

That guy loves the Lord… and loves exposing himself to Baptist children by wearing scandalously tight pants.
