Against my better judgment, my unemployed ass laid down 100 bucks with betus.com right before the World Cup final, put 35 on France to win, lost it, then put 10 on the NL to win the All-Star Game, lost it (thank you sooo much Trevor F**^*%n’ Hoffman), cried, cried some more, then recovered to slap some small-money bets on the Open Championship:
- 5.00 on Tiger to win the tourney (20.00 payout)
- 5.00 on Mickelson to win the tourney (40.00 payout)
- 5.00 on Retief Goosen to win the tourney (60.00 payout)
- 10.00 each on Els and Singh to win (both pay out 110.00)
- 10.00 on Sergio to win the tourney (250.00 payout)
Total money laid: 35 bucks. The Tiger and Mickelson bets won’t pay much, just make me feel a little better. Obviously Sergio winning his first major this weekend would be just grrrreat, so imagine my happiness when I saw this. Sergio’s been in this position before, though, and it’s only Thursday so a lot can happen. Nevertheless, it’s better than seeing him at +8 or +9 after the opening round.
Someone send me some good luck vibes.
Viva España.
