Well the wordles of popular songs thing went so well that Ally over at The Road To Copacetic and Mackalicious at Blogging Pantsless got into the act. (Thanks for the h/t, Ally!)

In honor of these two fine and distinguished Dawgs, I present Munson. Wordled. I think I’m going to frame these. Seriously.

Bad, Bad Idea, Myspace

Whoever decided that incorporating a karaoke feature into Myspace obviously didn’t count on me abusing it for all it’s worth. I know I can’t sing – does that stop me? No. I know I make a fool of myself – does that stop me? No. Besides, it’s ultimately about the feeling, and this rendition of Joe Cocker’s cover of “With A Little Help From My Friends” has got feeling out the yin-yang. So much, in fact, I might have blown out the microphone. Do not crank this one. In fact, don’t even listen to it. Just skip this post altogether.

My Radiohead Dream Setlist

As mentioned prior, I, along with Maya, Kevin, and Mike, will be going to see Radiohead this Thursday night at Lakewood Amphitheatre.

I tried my best to refrain from seeking out the setlist from the first show of the U.S. leg of the tour which was last night in W. Palm Beach, but that lasted all of no time at all. Not surprisingly (and I don’t think this would be a spoiler), a large majority of the setlist was from “In Rainbows”. Which is great and all – but I was thinking: If I could do my dream setlist for the band (and actually restrict it and not just say, “Play every song from every album”), what would it be? I decided to pick 23 songs as that’s how many they played last night (!!) in West Palm. Anyone care to chime in? Additions? Subtractions?

A couple of weeks ago I joined the CD Cover Meme Group in Flickr and submitted a couple of my own creations. It’s pretty cool and funny at times – you have to create a CD cover based on the following rules:

The first article title on the page is the name of your band.

The last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.

The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

The cognomen (plural: cognomina) was originally the third name of an Ancient Roman in the Roman naming convention. The cognomen started as a nickname, but lost that purpose when it became hereditary (and thus more like a family name). Cognomen is derived from the prefix co- (”together with”) and nomen (”name”). The term (with an Anglicized plural cognomens) has taken on a less specific meaning.
