Happy 6th Anniversary!
Note my mother’s disgust at my behavior a mere 20 seconds in… I love her.
Here’s three video clips of commercials from the early 90’s: Dan and Dave,

MTV’s House of Style (with Cindy. Mmm.),

and a block of ads including a Pepsi commercial (with Cindy. Mmm.).

I forgot just how omnipresent Cindy Crawford was on MTV back in those days - but I’m not complaining. It could have just as well been *shudder* John Norris.
Amy and I had a great time at the Georgia Aquarium. For those of you who haven’t been, I highly, HIGHLY recommend it. We went through the various exhibits early in the day, but the crowds made it difficult to really take it all in. So, after the crowds died down, we went back through our favorite parts.

For me, it always begins and ends with the penguins. Penguins are freakin’ awesome.

Oh, and I had to post this pic here because I thought it was pretty cool.

Check out the pics here!
In just a little while we’ll be off once again to the land of unlimited beer, unlimited food, quasi-legal sports wagering, and 80’s cover bands: Derby Day. The weather looks like it’s gonna be smack-u-in-tha-grill fantastic. Pics will follow, no doubt.
‘Til then, I take you all back to 2004, when I put together this slideshow with a little help from Luda.
Enjoy. Oh, and proceeds from Derby Day go to the Shepherd Spinal Rehab Center, so I can feel good about myself even after I’m reduced to rolling around in my own vomit half-naked.
Here’s a collection of four songs from a 1992 Unplugged performance.

Alive…
Black…

… and Porch.
Yesterday I finally picked up a nice lil’ piece of hardware I’ve been meaning to get ever since I upgraded PC’s: an analog-to-digital video converter. For you dumbasses out there it just means I can take video from VHS tapes and make ‘em web-friendly with little effort (thankfully, Scott Hartman was a big help or maybe the effort would’ve been greater).
Anyhoo, for some stupid reason I decided, for the first of many video posts, to edit down and tweak a video that was shot for my church youth group’s 1991 trip to le Redneck Riviera, Panama City Beach, Florida. I took out all the boring God-n-preacher stuff since I ain’t here to proselytize, but rather to take a fond look back at more innocent times.
For those few of you out there who may have been under the misconception that I was cool back in the day, this should clear that up reaaal quick. Lakeside folk: see how many people you recognize.
Comments are welcome; except from you, Chip. You look like him. Get over it.
(Oh and by the way, the beachy graphics at the beginning and at different points in the video are from the original vid - I didn’t add them. I would hate for anyone to think my video presentation skills were that bad.)
