Guy on elevator: Has anyone ever told you that you look like Jim Halpert from The Office?
Me: Yes. I’ve heard that bef-
Guy on elevator: It’s ’cause of the hair.
Me: Yes. I know. (Turns head, raises eyebrows, stares with slight smirk at [nonexistent] camera)

Frankly, I just don’t see it.

I probably saw Billy Pilgrim over 25 times, most of them at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur. This was, I believe, a full band show while they were still with Atlantic Records. Andrew covered Radiohead’s “Karma Police” at one point.

Tim Jennings’ fourth-quarter INT of Reggie “Dog” Ball sealed the win, UGA’s fifth straight in the series. Scott rigged the satellite dish precariously on the back of Gene Massey’s pickup truck and I beat Josh’s ass in Playstation football. With Memphis. I have no idea why I remember that.

“Massaquoi!”
‘Nuff said.

Later the same night, some of us stayed in Athens to catch Drivin N Cryin at the Georgia Theatre. I miss 32 oz. beers for 3 bucks.

Les and the boys put on a good show at the Tabernacle; I think this was the tour in support of Tales From The Punchbowl album.

My brother Charles took me to see Cake at the Roxy for my birthday. They’re a good band to see live - they do a good job of replicating all the nuanced sounds on the album when they’re in front of a crowd.

Ah yes, the “Odell INT” game… much fun. Shame I missed the actual game-clinching pick by Thurman. Josh owes me a beer.
